Our Fossil Yeti Sheepskin Rugs are a beautifully balanced blend of grey and dark beige, offering effortless warmth and natural elegance.

Sourced from New Zealand breeds known for their strong wool our Yeti sheepskin rugs are not only very hard wearing but look Flock-taculous too.  Extremely textural with a rustic look.  They not only look great as throws on sofas, beds and chairs but are also good, hardwearing floor rugs.

Ways to Style a Fossil Yeti Sheepskin Rug:

✔ Create a Neutral Haven – The perfect grounding shade for calm, sophisticated interiors.
✔ Layer for Texture – Drape over a chair, bench, or footstool to add softness and depth.
✔ Blend Seamlessly – Pairs beautifully with warm woods, crisp whites, and muted greys for a harmonious look.
✔ Contrast with Dark Tones – Complements deep charcoals, navy, or rich greens for a refined, modern edge.
✔ Add Subtle Warmth – Brings a gentle, inviting feel to any space, from contemporary to rustic interiors.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length.  That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.

Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin.  The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be afftected by strong sunlight.

How to Care for Sheepskin

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK and New Zealand where animal welfare standards are among the highest in the world.  Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
