Restored Ercol Chairs

Ercol chairs are known for their timeless design, solid wood construction and exceptional comfort. At Baa Stool, we carefully source and restore original Ercol frames, reimagining them with luxurious sheepskin upholstery to create one-of-a-kind pieces designed for modern living.

Restored Ercol Chairs in Sheepskin

Why Choose a Restored Ercol Chair?

Each chair begins with an original vintage Ercol frame, selected for its quality and structural integrity. These pieces have stood the test of time and offer a level of craftsmanship rarely found in modern furniture.

Rather than replacing them, we restore and enhance them, preserving their character while making them comfortable for everyday use.

Our Restoration Process

We take a careful and considered approach to every chair.

Cleaning and preparation

Each frame is cleaned using specialist furniture restorer to remove built-up wax and dirt while reviving the original finish. We then address light scratches and dents, always preserving the natural patina.

Webbing and support

Where needed, we replace the webbing with original Pirelli rubber webbing, ensuring the correct level of support and protecting the structure of the frame.

Cushion construction

We recreate the original cushion shapes using new, high-quality foam, with a firmer seat and softer back for comfort. Natural latex options are also available.

Upholstery

You choose your sheepskin, and we create removable zipped cushion covers with a wool fabric reverse, completing the chair in our North Wales workshop.

Choosing the Right Ercol Chair

We typically offer three styles:

Ercol 203 Easy Chair

A deeper, lower chair designed for relaxed, laid-back comfort.

Ercol 204 Easy Chair

A slightly more upright version, offering everyday support and ease of use.

Ercol Evergreen Chair

A high-back chair designed for comfort and posture, ideal for longer periods of sitting.

Made for You

Each chair is finished to order in your chosen sheepskin, making every piece unique. Natural variation in colour and texture means no two chairs are ever the same.

A Note on Vintage Character

These are genuine vintage pieces. Signs of age, wear and small imperfections are part of their story and are always clearly shown.
