MEASUREMENTS

Approximately 125cm long and 25cm high

Every bed needs that final something – and our Sheepskin Bed Bolster might just be it.

Designed as a long, low finishing cushion for a layered bed, this beautifully soft bolster adds texture, shape and gentle luxury without overwhelming the room. At approximately 125cm long and 25cm high, it sits neatly across the width of a bed, bringing that calm, considered look you see in beautifully styled interiors.

Each bolster is handmade in our North Wales workshop using premium sheepskin in a limited range of carefully chosen colours. The reverse is finished in a plain matching velvet, giving a soft, elegant back that complements the sheepskin beautifully.

Inside, the bolster is filled with our own sheepskin trimmings, making it wonderfully soft, squidgy and satisfyingly cuddleable.

Although designed with beds in mind, it also works beautifully on a day bed, window seat or long bench – anywhere that needs a little softness, shape and texture.

A gorgeous finishing touch for restful bedrooms, cosy corners and calm, layered interiors.

How to Care for Sheepskin

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK.  Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand.  Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

My beautiful mushroom sheepskin bolster has just arrived and it is perfect. Thank you very much for the speedy delivery.

I ordered two bolsters, and I am so glad I did. I have a shoulder I’m struggling with, and I’m a side sleeper, and I have found that a bolster helps me sleep more comfortably. I had a memory foam one, but I found it so HOT. This natural sheepskin is cool in the summer, so much so that it’s almost a surprise. I use the second one in my yin-yoga practice, as it’s a great way to sink into a stretch and enjoy it without smushing my face into the yoga mat or getting pain in too much of a stretch. It is flexible and moves into a U-shape, or supports my shoulder and back as I do hip openings or chest openings. So glad for them!

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
