They became our thing, right back on the day that Baa Stool opened its doors for business. I started with just one. A sheepskin footstool of course. I called her Nerys and she was the product of a creative moment in my then new role as an upholstress. I thought Nerys looked like a little sheep.

Who is the footstool for?

For you, your partner or the whole family to use? For you or your partner. Myfanwy and Bethan are baaeautiful. Marjorie is our best seller. A larger stool for more to share – look to Betty or even a Baa Stool sheepskin bench. The Tuffet for Two was made for this very reason. The éclair is even bigger and works beautifully as a footstool in front of the living room sofa. The larger footstools and benches work hard as lounge tables, a surface for a board game, an extra seat or a place to style your home magazines. If it’s a footstool to double up as an extra seat in a den, how about a pouffe or the giant cookie?

Which room?

Do you have the space to house a big sheepskin footstool like an Éclair or Leanne bench or are you looking for a smaller footrest like Nia to permanently sit in front of your living room armchair? Which colour footstool?

Dusky pink, baby pink, sage or teal. Baa Stools look baamazing when the colour pops from a neutral palette, but likewise they are just the ticket in a colour filled home. Cornflower blue, piccalilli, fuchsia, dragon red and tiger orange are the brights. For a more neutral scheme, the pick of the flock would be ivory, chocolate, silver, and of course our collection of unique rare breeds which range from ivory and chocolate to greys. Traditional or contemporary decor?

You’ll be wanting to choose the right sheepskin footstool for your interior style. Go industrial with metallic hairpin legs in chrome, copper or gold. Choose Erin or Judy. Compliment your traditional décor with hardwood legs for a natural effect. Feet up or feet down?

This is a bigger consideration than you might think. Some people like to put their feet up level with their seat and others prefer a lower more subtle angle. If you like a low foot rest, Delyth, Dilys and Bronwen are ideal. If you like to put your feet up higher then choose Nerys, Carys or Ffion.
