MEASUREMENTS
The Large Shearling Sheepskin Pouffe is designed to be as practical as it is beautiful. Upholstered in soft, short, curly sheepskin – often referred to as shearling, with a texture like boucle fabric – it brings natural texture, warmth and a contemporary feel into your home.
Unlike traditional pouffes, this design features a flatter, more structured top, making it ideal as a coffee table or side table. Simply add a tray or coaster and it becomes an easy, relaxed surface for drinks, books or everyday essentials.
Inside, a firm foam core provides structure and support, allowing the pouffe to double as an occasional seat or a comfortable footstool. It’s a versatile piece that works effortlessly in living rooms, snug spaces or around a coffee table when extra seating is needed.
Our shearling pouffes are made using our signature boucl̩-style sheepskin Рa short, often tightly curled fleece that feels modern, durable and beautifully tactile.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in shade, texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate and offer free colour samples.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. Â

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
