A generously sized sheepskin pouffe cover, handmade in North Wales, UK from naturally characterful sheepskin.
Designed for relaxed living, our Large and Extra Large pouffes are supplied as covers only, allowing you to choose filling locally and keep delivery costs sensible.
Our sheepskin pouffes are designed as relaxed, tactile floor pieces for everyday living. Handmade in our North Wales workshop, each cover is made from natural sheepskin chosen for its tone, texture and movement.
For our US collection, the Large and Extra Large pouffes are supplied as sheepskin covers only. This keeps delivery straightforward and allows you to select filling locally to suit your preferred firmness, whether that’s recycled fibre, beanbag filling or another natural alternative.
Each pouffe is finished with a zipped tonal wool fabric base and carefully constructed for durability and comfort. As with all natural sheepskin, no two covers are ever the same, and subtle variations in colour, curl and wool length are part of their character.
✔ Available in Large and Extra Large
✔ Supplied as a sheepskin cover only (filling not included)
✔ Handmade in North Wales
✔ Natural sheepskin with unique variation in tone and texture
✔ Finished with a tonal wool fabric base
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in shade, texture and length. That's why we specify that our measurements are approximate and offer free colour samples.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Boucle Style sheepskin will measure 5cm less all around as the wool pile is much shorter.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
We use the highest quality upholstery materials to create supportive and comfortable furniture in our workshop in North Wales, UK.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
