Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.

A short message to say that the two sheepskin rugs have arrived, beautifully packaged by Vicky, and I absolutely love them. They add a bit of luxury in my bedroom and look and feel great. Thank you. 🙏 I already have some seat pads and a baa stool. The stool is lovely at night when I take off my shoes and socks and put my feet up. The feel of the sheepskin is amazing on the soles of my feet. ❤️.

Happy with my sheepskins.
I was very pleased and grateful for the efficient and helpful way my order was processed. The only point I would like to raise is that the colour of the buttermilk rug was rather more intense that in that of the photo of the one in the image on your website. With hindsight I would have chosen a different shade. However, my granddaughter was perfectly happy with her rug which she had for her birthday. The other two rugs I selected are absolutely perfect and delivery was great. Many thanks.
