We understand how important it is to keep your lovely sheepskin looking baamazing..so we’ve created a list of tips and tricks on how to do just that!
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.

My best friend and I went on a stool making workshop in November last year and it was an absolute highlight of my year! Michelle and Sanna are so wonderfully welcoming and we spent the entire afternoon laughing and making and drinking tea and it was absolute perfection. There was a huge number of sheepskins to choose from and we left with beautiful footstools, new skills and big big smiles. Thank you so much. Give yourself something to look forward to and get booked on a workshop, I can’t wait to come back.

“Baa Skool” definitely worth a go
Went to a build your own stool “Baa Skool” session and a LOVED spending a few hours at Baa Stool HQ. I went just with the aim of taking home my own foot stool (which I proudly did) but I also really really enjoyed talking to Michelle and Sanna and learning about the development of Baa Stool and what goes on behind the scenes. They were both very friendly, welcoming and a joy to be around. Sanna was a fab tutor – very reassuring and patient in the way she taught. I travelled almost 2 hours to get to Baa Skool but would do it again in a flash. Looking forward to more sessions in the future. Highly recommended

Amazing BaaSkool
I recently attended BaaSkool, it was a fantastic class where I got to make my own footstool. Sanna and Michelle took us through all the stages of construction with detailed instructions, a watchful eye and a guiding hand to make sure our stools were made to as high a standard as the ones they make. I was able to pick my own fleece and legs so it was exactly what I wanted.
A truly enjoyable morning and I’ve an amazing stool to put my feet up.
