A comfortable office…
Back Intelligence
Comments made by organisations like ACAS about having a “safe and reasonable space, security and privacy in which to work” have really got me thinking. What’s your home office like? I know many people don’t have the luxury of an office-type space at home; they work on the kitchen table, the coffee table or even the bed!
Yet we all know that our posture while we’re working is crucial to our health and wellbeing. As ‘Back Intelligence’ tell us, “Our bodies were built to move and yet we are spending an increasing amount of time in sedentary environments that minimize our physical activity levels, and also require us to sit for prolonged periods of time.”
Good posture while we’re working at our computers can promote a healthy back and spine. And if you’d like to know if your working environment is conducive to good health, you can read Dr Shaina McQuilkie’s tips for sitting correctly HERE.
Your home office
Of course, some of us are fortunate enough to have an office space in our homes, and some of us take a great deal of pride in how it looks. Let’s face it, we spend so much time in it that it’s good for our morale to make this space as pleasant and attractive as possible. If you have a lovely home office, why not send us a photo of it? We’d love to see it.
Chairs
At Baa Stool, we have a variety of warm and comfortable chairs and stools that might be perfect when you need a break from your office chair to read or scroll. Our Lord Baa Baa Chair and our Lady Baa Baa Chair offer great back support, while our Square Chair might be just the right size to fit in your office space.
Taller Stools
Though, if you’re working at a high bench or kitchen counter, you may prefer one of our Jacob or Gwyn stools for the added height.
Foot-Rest
And don’t forget our luxurious Ewe-Rest Footrest for great posture and added comfort.
Rugs
A soft, soothing sheepskin rug on the floor or chair can add texture and cheer, and our Bespoke Rugs come in an assortment of bright colours and eye-catching designs.
