Top your tree in style with our quirky Sheepskin Christmas Tree Toppers — ivory or rare breed sheepskin, bushy beards, jolly noses, and festive cheer!

Measurements

Measurements vary wildly depending on the length of the wool but are between 30 and 40cm. The hat alone is 20cm.

Season’s bleatings! Meet our Sheepskin Gonks — guaranteed to bring a smile and a sprinkle of festive fun to your home.

Handcrafted from sumptuously soft natural ivory or rare breed British sheepskin, each topper has its own personality — some with wild, bushy beards, others more refined, but all bursting with Christmas cheer. Their cosy dark grey wool hats are finished with a tinkling silver bell, and each cheeky face is completed with a round wooden nose.

Taking inspiration from Scandinavian folklore gonks — mythical, gnome-like creatures believed to protect homes during winter. With his oversized woolly beard, big round wooden nose, and pointy felt hat, he brings all the warmth and charm of this tradition into your home.

Lightweight and hollow, these toppers slip easily over the tip of your tree, instantly transforming it into something BAA-rilliantly unique. But don’t stop there! They also make fabulous festive table characters or can even perch on a wine bottle as the quirkiest dinner guest you’ll ever have.

Whether you pick one or collect a flock, these tree toppers are more than decorations — they’re part of the family.

Bring one home today and let the festivities begin!

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK.  Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand.  Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
