Celebrate local Welsh heritage in style with our Denbigh Plum Sheepskin Cushion — luxuriously soft, gloriously plummy, and handmade with real leather leaves and stalk.
Inspired by our much-loved local fruit, the Denbigh Plum Sheepskin Cushion is as sumptuous and characterful as the Welsh plum itself. Handmade in North Wales, this beautifully plump plum shaped cushion is crafted from velvety sheepskin in the richest shade of purple — a nod to the celebrated Denbigh Plum, Wales’ only fruit to hold protected DOP (Denomination of Origin) status.
Each cushion is lovingly finished with real leather leaves and a sturdy stalk, bringing a playful touch of nature indoors. Generously filled with soft sheepskin trimmings, it’s irresistibly squishy, wonderfully tactile, and guaranteed to make you smile. Measuring a generous 45cm tall x 40cm diameter it’s just waiting for a squeeze!
Perfect as a statement piece on your sofa, a comfy floor cushion, or a quirky gift that celebrates Welsh craftsmanship and countryside charm.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
Some of our stools require very basic assembly. We have a fully dedicated page to guide you on how to assemble your Baa Stool. Click on the link below to view our full guide.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
