Measurements

Stool measures approximately 52cm diameter x 42cm high including the wool and rug measures 117cm x 77cm with a 12cm pile.

Our Rare Breed Sheepskin Footstool and Rug Set celebrates the raw beauty of nature — each one completely unique, showcasing the stunning natural tones and textures of genuine British rare breed sheepskin.  This one is dark moody grey and silver shades.

When we take delivery of our rare breed rugs we carefully go through them to identify rugs that work well together.  This means the cushion and the stool match beautifully.

Lovingly handcrafted in our North Wales workshop, the round tuffet footstool features our black coloured, round and tapered hardwood legs that beautifully complement the organic wool shades. The matching rug mirrors the same rich character, creating a perfectly balanced pairing of comfort and style.

Soft, silky, and full of movement, rare breed sheepskin brings warmth and personality to any room — whether you place this duo beside a fireplace, in a cosy reading nook, or at the foot of your bed.

Each set is one of a kind, ensuring no two will ever be the same — a true natural masterpiece for your home.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK.  Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand.  Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Some of our stools require very basic assembly. We have a fully dedicated page to guide you on how to assemble your Baa Stool.  Click on the link below to view our full guide.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
