MEASUREMENTS
The story
It appears the gonks have been raiding Santa’s wardrobe. And we have to say, the results are rather splendid.
Vicky has given our much-loved sheepskin gonks have had a festive makeover for Christmas, swapping their usual hats for bright red 100% recycled wool Santa hats with a cute ivory wool felt bobble.
Beneath each hat is a round wooden nose and a wonderfully long, flowing beard made from natural ivory Icelandic sheepskin.
And if there’s one thing Icelandic sheepskin does particularly well, it’s a magnificent beard.
Each gonk has his own personality.
Some have beautifully sweeping beards, others are a little wilder and more windswept.
But every one of them looks thoroughly pleased with his new Christmas outfit.
They’re lightweight and hollow, so you can slip them over the top of your Christmas tree, perch them over a bottle of wine or use them as wonderfully quirky festive table decorations.
We particularly like the idea of a Santa gonk appearing on a bottle of something lovely when you arrive for Christmas dinner.
Much more entertaining than a bottle bag.
And almost certainly a conversation starter.

We understand how important it is to keep your lovely sheepskin looking baamazing..so we’ve created a list of tips and tricks on how to do just that!
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
