Measurements
Cagney & Lacey are a contemporary sheepskin armchair and matching footstool designed to work beautifully together.
The chair is built on a solid wood frame made in the UK, then upholstered by hand in our North Wales workshop using soft, tactile bouclé-style also known as shearling sheepskin.
We loved the shape of the chair so much that we created a matching footstool to sit neatly against the front or side of the frame. Used together, the pair can create the feel of a chaise, a generous footrest or an occasional side surface depending on how you arrange them.
The back and sides are finished in a beautifully soft natural wool fabric made using salvaged yarns from the fashion industry, adding another layer of texture without overwhelming the design.
Made for Flexible Living
The matching footstool is shaped to work closely with the chair, giving you several ways to use the set.
Pull it up in front to stretch out your legs.
Position it alongside the chair to create a chaise-style arrangement.
Or move it away and use it as an occasional stool when you need a little more flexibility.
That versatility is one of the things we love most about this pair.
Shearling / Bouclé Sheepskin
The chair and footstool are upholstered in a shorter, curly sheepskin with a soft bouclé appearance.
It has a neat, tactile finish that feels contemporary while still retaining the warmth and individuality of genuine sheepskin.
Because sheepskin is a natural material, subtle variation in colour, curl and texture is part of the finished piece.
Handmade in North Wales
Each Cagney & Lacey set is upholstered by hand in our workshop in Denbigh, North Wales.
The result is a contemporary armchair and footstool set with a relaxed, sculptural feel and plenty of natural texture.
And yes, they really are named after our two lazy Labradoodles.

International Delivery
This product is only available for delivery within the UK.
Do contact us for a current lead time on our chairs and large rugs …it can be up to 8 weeks but can be much faster.
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
Rare breed sheepskin is wonderfully expressive. Each piece has its own natural character, with variations in wool length, texture, curl and colour that make every creation entirely unique.
Tones range from soft creams and warm ivories through to rich browns and deep chocolate shades, often with subtle variation across a single fleece. Some pieces are long and flowing, others more textured and sculptural — all naturally occurring and impossible to replicate.
This natural diversity is exactly what gives rare breed pieces their depth, movement and individuality.

For made-to-order pieces, you’re invited to select your favourites from the collection. From there, we carefully curate a complementary set, considering tone, texture and flow so everything works beautifully together. We’ll always share the selection with you for approval before any making begins.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
