Measurements
Meet the Nancy Shearling Sheepskin Armchair, a traditional upholstered armchair with a wonderfully soft, curly twist.
Covered in genuine short-wool sheepskin, Nancy has a beautifully dense, gently curled texture often described as bouclé. Unlike woven bouclé upholstery fabrics, this is real sheepskin, with all its natural softness, warmth and character.
With her classic silhouette, gently rounded arms and generously cushioned seat and back, Nancy is a lovely choice for a living room, bedroom or favourite reading corner.
Choose from our beautiful range of shearling sheepskin colours, from warm natural neutrals to richer contemporary shades, and make Nancy your own.
Made to Order
Your Nancy Shearling Sheepskin Armchair is individually upholstered to order in our North Wales workshop.
Choosing your leg finish: Nancy is available with a choice of wood leg finishes, shown in the product image gallery. Simply let us know your preferred finish in the Order Notes box at checkout.
Lead times can be up to 8 weeks, although we can often complete orders sooner. If you need your chair for a particular date, please contact us before ordering.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Each Nancy is upholstered by hand in our workshop in Denbigh, North Wales, using a traditional solid hardwood armchair frame and carefully selected genuine sheepskin.
The traditionally hand-tied cone springs and generously cushioned fixed seat and back provide lasting comfort, while the short wool adds a beautifully soft, tactile finish.
Genuine shearling sheepskin is naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, making Nancy a wonderfully comfortable place to settle throughout the year.
Loved by Our Customers
Nancy has earned a special place in our customers’ homes, with lovely reviews describing her comfort, quality and irresistible softness.
Some customers even confess to stroking the sheepskin every time they walk past. We completely understand!

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
Rare breed sheepskin is wonderfully expressive. Each piece has its own natural character, with variations in wool length, texture, curl and colour that make every creation entirely unique.
Tones range from soft creams and warm ivories through to rich browns and deep chocolate shades, often with subtle variation across a single fleece. Some pieces are long and flowing, others more textured and sculptural — all naturally occurring and impossible to replicate.
This natural diversity is exactly what gives rare breed pieces their depth, movement and individuality.

For made-to-order pieces, you’re invited to select your favourites from the collection. From there, we carefully curate a complementary set, considering tone, texture and flow so everything works beautifully together. We’ll always share the selection with you for approval before any making begins.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That's why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
