The Nancy Sheepskin Armchair brings together the timeless shape of a traditional upholstered armchair and the wonderful softness of genuine long-wool sheepskin.
With her classic silhouette, solid hardwood frame and fully cushioned seat and back, Nancy is a beautiful choice for a living room, bedroom or a cosy reading corner.
Completely upholstered in luxurious, silky sheepskin, Nancy can be made in a wide choice of Baa Stool colours, from gentle natural shades to richer statement colours. Choose a colour that settles beautifully into your room or make Nancy the centre of attention.
Made to Order
Your Nancy Sheepskin Armchair is individually upholstered to order in our North Wales workshop.

Lead times can be up to 8 weeks, although we can often complete orders sooner. If you need your chair for a particular date, please contact us before ordering.
Handmade in North Wales
Each Nancy is upholstered by hand in our workshop in Denbigh, North Wales, using a solid hardwood armchair frame and carefully selected genuine sheepskin.
The traditionally hand-tied cone springs and generously cushioned fixed seat and back provide lasting comfort, while the long wool adds a beautifully soft, tactile finish.
As sheepskin is a natural material, slight variations in colour, curl and wool length are part of its charm, making every Nancy subtly individual.
Caring for Your Nancy
Genuine sheepskin is naturally hardwearing and surprisingly easy to care for with a little regular attention.

International Delivery
This product is only available for delivery within the UK.
Do contact us for a current lead time on our chairs and large rugs …it can be up to 8 weeks but can be much faster.
As of 02/11 lead times are 5 weeks.
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
Rare breed sheepskin is wonderfully expressive. Each piece has its own natural character, with variations in wool length, texture, curl and colour that make every creation entirely unique.
Tones range from soft creams and warm ivories through to rich browns and deep chocolate shades, often with subtle variation across a single fleece. Some pieces are long and flowing, others more textured and sculptural — all naturally occurring and impossible to replicate.
This natural diversity is exactly what gives rare breed pieces their depth, movement and individuality.

For made-to-order pieces, you’re invited to select your favourites from the collection. From there, we carefully curate a complementary set, considering tone, texture and flow so everything works beautifully together. We’ll always share the selection with you for approval before any making begins.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That's why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
