Our pumpkin shaped Pouffekin returns in glorious Copper sheepskin – one of our favourite colours sadly discontinued by the tannery. Handmade by Halloween-loving Sanna, it’s a proper little footstool with a pumpkin stalk and far too lovely to put away when October is over.
The story
Occasionally our tannery discontinues a sheepskin colour and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.
We wanted to cry when Copper disappeared.
It is the most glorious rich burnt orange and, more importantly, it makes an exceptionally good Pouffekin.
Our Pouffekin is Sanna’s creation – part pouffe, part pumpkin, complete with its own stalk. And as Sanna LOVES Halloween, there was no question that one of the last pieces of Copper sheepskin had to make an appearance in Drop 18.
The colour is wonderfully autumnal, but this is definitely not something we’d pack away on 1st November. It’s a proper little sheepskin footstool that just happens to look like a pumpkin.

Good to know
Copper has now been discontinued by our tannery, so once our remaining sheepskin has gone we cannot simply order more.
That makes this little Pouffekin rather more special than usual.
Styling notes
It might have been made for Halloween, but those rich burnt orange tones are beautiful throughout autumn and beyond.
Try it beside a favourite armchair, in a reading corner or simply somewhere it can sit looking pleasingly pumpkin-like.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
