Measurements
Our sheepskin draught excluder does more than block a breeze – it helps keep your home warmer and your energy bills lower. Handmade in Wales with a robust sheepskin outer it’s filled with sheepskin trimmings too! Double the insulation!. Whether you’re dressing up a chilly doorway or just want to stop heat escaping, this is a practical addition with a feel-good finish. Warmth, comfort and character, all rolled into one. Our Draught Excluders are guaranteed to block even the breeziest of draughts.
Simple to keep clean – simply use a wire brush occasionally to refresh the pile.
- Available in your choice of size and 30+ colours
- Crafted from stitched together squares of premium grade sheepskin.
- Concealed zipped wool fabric backing. (you won’t see that bit – it’s hidden by the fluff!)
- We added a concealed zip so there will be no floor scratches.
- Filled with sheepskin trimmings for extra insulation.
Boucle Style sheepskin will measure 5cm less all around as the wool pile is much shorter.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be afftected by strong sunlight.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
