MEASUREMENTS

Approximately 30cm wide × 25cm high  Weight: Approximately 1.5kg

Oh, bring us some figgy pudding!

Or better still, a wonderfully woolly one!

Meet our Sheepskin Christmas Pudding Doorstop, or Pwdin Nadolig as we say here in Wales. A deliciously festive little character who brings Christmas cheer to your home while doing a rather useful job of holding open your doors.

Lovingly handmade in our North Wales workshop, each pudding has a beautifully rounded body of rich, velvety chocolate sheepskin, generously topped with creamy ivory curls that tumble over the sides like freshly poured brandy sauce.

A sprig of handcrafted green leather holly leaves and two plump red felted berries provide the finishing touch. No raisins, no brandy, just beautiful British sheepskin and a little Baa Stool mischief!

A Pudding with Purpose

Weighing approximately 1.5kg, our Christmas Pudding is more than just a pretty decoration. He’s a proper little doorstop, perfectly happy keeping a door ajar while welcoming family, friends and festive visitors.

And when he’s off duty, he looks equally at home beside the fireplace, beneath the Christmas tree or wherever a little extra Christmas cheer is needed.

Handmade with a Little Christmas Magic

Every pudding is individually handmade using genuine British sheepskin, so each has its own natural wool texture and character. No two are quite alike, which is all part of their charm.

A festive favourite to bring out year after year, he’s a wonderful alternative to ordinary Christmas decorations and makes a rather lovely gift for someone who appreciates something a little different.

Christmas pudding without the calories. What’s not to love?

Boucle Style sheepskin will measure 5cm less all around as the wool pile is much shorter.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length.  That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.

Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin.  The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be afftected by strong sunlight.

How to Care for Sheepskin

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK.  Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand.  Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
