The story
Meet Huw.
This Highland Cow Wall Hanging began with a good rummage through our sheepskin offcuts and leather trimmings. We carefully chose ginger sheepskin for his face, then found just the right shaggy fleece to give him his warm, characterful look.
His horns and nose are made from chestnut leather, which works beautifully with the rich ginger tones of the sheepskin and gives the whole piece a soft, earthy warmth.
Huw is playful, full of character and very much a statement piece. He would look just as at home in a rustic boot room as he would in a clean, modern scheme where he can add a little warmth, texture and humour.

This is a handmade piece made from natural sheepskin, slight variations are to be expected.
The saw hook on the back makes him easy to hang on a suitable wall fixing.
Styling notes
Huw is made for walls that need a little character. He would be wonderful in a boot room, hallway, living room, cottage interior or as part of a gallery wall.
He also works beautifully as a contrast piece in a very modern room, adding texture, warmth and a little mischief without taking itself too seriously.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin.

We understand how important it is to keep your lovely sheepskin looking baamazing..so we’ve created a list of tips and tricks on how to do just that!
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.
Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
