Meet our Highland Cow Felted Soap — a lanolin-rich bar wrapped in natural British wool, gently exfoliating, long-lasting and irresistibly cute. A woolly wash with personality!
Say hello to the cleanest Highland Cow you’ll ever meet! Our Highland Cow Felted Soap is lovingly handmade in Yorkshire using wool from British sheep breeds and enriched with pure lanolin for a naturally nourishing, creamy lather.
Each bar is wrapped in natural, undyed wool that’s felted into the iconic Highland Cow look — shaggy fringe, rustic charm and all. As you wash, the wool acts as a built-in flannel, gently exfoliating while helping the soap last far longer than a standard bar. It shrinks as the soap shrinks, keeping everything neat and tidy, until you’re left with a tiny woolly ball that’s completely biodegradable.
Thanks to the natural antibacterial properties of wool, the bar stays fresher for longer and won’t slip from your hands. Fun, tactile and perfect for gifting, this little coo is adored by children and grown-ups alike.
A Highland hero for your bathroom — and a joy to use every day!

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.
Some of our stools require very basic assembly. We have a fully dedicated page to guide you on how to assemble your Baa Stool. Click on the link below to view our full guide.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
