A one-off mint velvety sheepskin pouffe with a thick, luxurious pile. Handmade in North Wales and filled with sheepskin trimmings for softness and structure.
The story
Every now and then a colour arrives that makes us stop mid-work.
This mint did exactly that.
Soft, fresh and unexpectedly pretty, it reminds us of spearmint sweets and early spring light. We only had just enough of this velvety sheepskin to make a single pouffe, which makes this one particularly special.
The pile is thick and luxurious, shorn for a neat, tailored finish but still wonderfully tactile. Compact in size and beautifully proportioned, it works as a footrest, an extra seat or a gentle pop of colour in a neutral room.
A true one-off for us. Once this mint is gone, it’s gone.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
