MEASUREMENTS
The story
There’s a new arrival in the doorstop department. And he’s brought his own hat.
This year, Santa has joined our growing collection of wonderfully woolly doorstops.
We decided he needed to look properly festive, so we’ve dressed him in beautiful red sheepskin, complete with a matching pointed hat trimmed in soft ivory sheepskin.
Then came the beard. And really, what a beard.
We’ve used wonderfully curly ivory Yeti sheepskin, which gives him a magnificent tumble of wool beneath his little round wooden nose.
No eyes, of course. They’re hiding under that hat, just as a proper gonk-style Santa’s should.
He’s filled to weigh approximately 1.5kg, making him substantial enough to hold open a door.
But we think he might have other ideas.
Perhaps a position beside the fireplace?
Or supervising the presents beneath the tree?
Either way, he’s ready for Christmas.
And unlike the real Santa, he won’t disappear up the chimney on Christmas Eve.

Styling notes
Santa is particularly happy beside a fireplace, holding open the living room door or standing guard beneath the Christmas tree.
His bright red sheepskin makes him a cheerful addition to both traditional and contemporary Christmas decorations.
Drop note
Santa makes his doorstop debut in Workshop Drop No. 20, joining our growing family of handmade sheepskin characters.
As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. Â

We understand how important it is to keep your lovely sheepskin looking baamazing..so we’ve created a list of tips and tricks on how to do just that!
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
