Our Ball Sheepskin Cushion is playful, tactile and just the right side of unexpected. With its perfectly rounded shape and wonderfully soft finish, it brings a sculptural touch to your home without taking itself too seriously.
Handmade in our North Wales workshop, each cushion is covered in premium sheepskin and filled with soft sheepskin trimmings, giving it that satisfyingly squidgy feel that makes it almost impossible not to pick up, move around or give a gentle squeeze.
Available in a select range of carefully chosen colours, this cushion works beautifully as a modern accent piece. Style it on a sofa, bed, armchair or window seat to add softness, shape and personality to your space.
It’s a little playful, a little stylish and very Baa Stool.
We did briefly consider adding eyes, but thankfully restrained ourselves.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
