Crafted from premium-grade sheepskin, each rug is carefully selected for its softness, natural sheen and beautifully unique wool. Available in over 35 beautiful colours, it’s easy to create a look that’s calm and neutral or bold and eye-catching. Sheepskin also offers practical benefits – the natural wool fibres are breathable and temperature regulating, helping to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Our Single Sheepskin Rugs are available in three distinctive textures, each offering its own look and feel:
Classic Sheepskin
Long, silky straight wool that creates a soft and luxurious finish. This traditional sheepskin style is wonderfully plush and elegant.
Boucle Sheepskin
Short, tightly curled wool with a texture reminiscent of boucle fabric. Sometimes referred to as shearling, this texture feels modern, structured and very practical.
Yeti Sheepskin
Long, naturally curly wool that has not been combed straight. Full of movement and texture, it creates a wonderfully wild and shaggy look – rather like the coat of a mythical yeti.
Each rug is completely unique, with natural variation in wool length, texture and tone that gives every piece its own character.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be afftected by strong sunlight.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK and New Zealand where animal welfare standards are among the highest in the world. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
