MEASUREMENTS

Width: 90cm Height: 85cm Seat Height: 40cm Seat Depth: 51cm Inside Back Height: 53cm Depth: 87cm

As comfy as a cardigan — but with a wild side.

Meet The Wooligan — the armchair that refuses to behave. Wrapped in gloriously untamed British rare breed sheepskin in natural shades of buttery ivory with grey undertones and caramel swirls, this is comfort with character and texture with attitude.

Rare breed sheepskin is wonderfully expressive, full of movement and individuality. To create this Wooligan, we carefully selected and matched 6 similar rare breed sheepskin rugs, considering the light tone, wool length, markings and flow. It’s a skilled, time-intensive process carried out entirely by hand in our North Wales workshop — and it means no two Wooligans are ever the same.

Sink into the deep, generous seat and you’ll see why customers compare it to wearing their favourite cardigan: cocooning, breathable and effortlessly cosy. Naturally temperature-regulating, the sheepskin keeps you comfortable year-round.

To complete the experience, The Wooligan can be paired with a matching sidekick, upholstered in the same carefully chosen sheepskin for a beautifully cohesive look. Choose a Regular Pouffe for relaxed, feet-down comfort; a Large Pouffe for full stretch-out lounging at seat height; or The Scallywag — a sturdy footstool on oak legs that echoes the chair’s stance while adding a little lift and structure.

Whether you choose the chair alone or build the full gang, The Wooligan is a one-of-a-kind statement piece designed to make you slow down, sink in, and stay put.

Sidekick Options

  • Regular Pouffe – approx. 27cm high × 45cm diameter
A lower, relaxed footrest for casual comfort.

  • Large Pouffe – approx. 40cm high × 50cm diameter
Seat-height lounging for maximum stretch-out comfort.

  • The Scallywag Footstool – approx. 55cm wide × 45cm deep × 40cm high
A sturdy footstool with oak legs that complement The Wooligan perfectly.

  • Upholstered in British rare breed sheepskin with soft natural texture
  • Six carefully matched sheepskin rugs used for each chair
  • Naturally breathable, insulating and irresistibly tactile
  • Optional matching pouffes or footstool for a complete lounging set
  • Handmade in our North Wales workshop — every piece is unique

Adopt The Wooligan — and decide whether to let it roam solo or bring along a perfectly matched sidekick for ultimate, unapologetic comfort.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length.  That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.

Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin.  The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
