A one-of-a-kind belted Galloway bull pouffe in rich dark brown almost black sheepskin with ivory belt, grey leather details and a shaggy fringe full of character.
The story
Some time ago a customer asked us to make a rug resembling the Belted Galloway with the distinctive stripe.
This latest Bull pouffe takes inspiration from that customers father who bred Belted Galloways – his most characterful was Burke.
This variation on our Highland Cow pouffe line has a completely different feel, with an almost black sheepskin body lifted by the cutest ivory belt and a wonderfully shaggy fringe in deep grey. He feels rich, warm and full of personality – a little bit wild, a little bit handsome, and impossible not to smile at.
His nose gives him a gentle expression, while the beautifully varied natural sheepskin makes every angle interesting. He is bold enough to be a talking point, but in deep earthy tones that will sit beautifully into a calm interior.
Like all of our rare breed pieces, he is completely one of a kind.

We understand how important it is to keep your lovely sheepskin looking baamazing..so we’ve created a list of tips and tricks on how to do just that!
We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
