Season’s Bleatings!

There’s something rather magical about hanging up your Christmas stocking, especially when it’s made from the most wonderfully soft British sheepskin!

Lovingly handcrafted in our North Wales workshop, our British Sheepskin Christmas Stockings combine beautiful natural textures with a generous helping of festive charm. Whether hanging from a beautifully decorated mantelpiece, nestled beside the Christmas tree or waiting patiently for Father Christmas, they’re sure to become part of your family’s Christmas traditions.

Beautifully Woolly, Wonderfully Practical

These aren’t just pretty Christmas decorations. Our stockings are generously sized and fully functional, with plenty of room for little surprises, festive treats or that one rather special present.

The front is made from luxurious British sheepskin, with a choice of beautiful wool textures and natural shades, while the reverse is finished in a complementary neutral wool mix fabric.

A sturdy white leather hanging loop makes them easy to display, and their timeless design means you’ll look forward to bringing them out year after year.

From silky long wool to cosy, tightly curled bouclé, each variation has its own lovely character, bringing a little something special to your Christmas décor.

Made with Love in North Wales

Every stocking is handmade by our talented flock here at Baa Stool, using beautiful British sheepskin and plenty of care and attention.

Natural materials, traditional craftsmanship and a little Baa Stool personality make these stockings a wonderful alternative to mass-produced Christmas decorations.

And because they’re made to be treasured rather than thrown away, we hope they’ll become a much-loved part of your Christmas celebrations for many years to come.

The Important Bits

Approximate size: 60cm long × 40cm wide

Front: Genuine British sheepskin

Back: Neutral wool mix fabric

Hanging loop: White leather

Handmade in Denbigh, North Wales

Available in a choice of sheepskin colours and textures

All that’s missing is a little visit from Father Christmas!

Boucle Style sheepskin will measure 5cm less all around as the wool pile is much shorter.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length.  That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.

Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin.  The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be afftected by strong sunlight.

How to Care for Sheepskin

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK.  Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand.  Sheep are not bred for their skins and sheepskin is a by product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

Baa Stool Meet The Team

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer.  Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’

I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality.  The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen.  The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks.  I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods.  This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.

Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.

I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
