We love wool.
You may have noticed.
And while we spend most of the year making wonderfully woolly furniture, cushions and creatures, Christmas gives us the perfect excuse to get a little carried away.
Which got us thinking. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have an entirely natural, woolly Christmas tree?
Start with one of our sheepskin garlands, winding its way through the branches.
Add a few of our fluffy Baables.
Then bring in a little colour with this gorgeous collection of eight wool felt Christmas decorations.
We’ve brought together a whole cast of festive characters.
There’s a cheerful robin, a jolly Santa, a Christmas fairy, a snowman, a wise little owl, a festive wreath, a mischievous elf and, of course, a Christmas pudding.

Each one is individually handcrafted from 100% wool felt, giving them that beautifully soft, tactile quality we love about natural fibres.

Styling notes
Create a wonderfully woolly Christmas tree.
Start with our sheepskin Christmas garland, add a scattering of fluffy Baables and then introduce a little festive colour with these eight cheerful felt decorations.
Together, they bring a lovely mix of traditional Christmas characters and colour to the branches.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
