The story
The Woolly Love Monsters are where imagination is given free rein.
Sanna leads the way, but everyone in the workshop – and often visitors too – gets involved. Ideas are shared, colours are debated and personalities start to emerge. Each monster is made entirely by hand and no two are ever the same.
They are not meant to be serious. They are functional doorstops, yes, but they are also little characters designed to bring humour, warmth and joy into a space. Some are mischievous, some are soft, some are rebels, but every single one is made with love.
Each Woolly Love Monster in this Drop is a true one-off. Once they are gone, that particular character will never be repeated.

The Woolly Love Monster
A devilish little character made from red velvety sheepskin, with bold red eyes and black leather horns. His heart-shaped hands give him away – he may look like trouble, but he is full of love.
Flossie
Joyful and impossibly fluffy, Flossie has candyfloss Mongolian sheepskin curls, a plum velvety body, big pink wool-felted eyes and a woollen heart hair tie. Soft, playful and full of charm.
Love Punk
A loving rebel with attitude. Love Punk has a baby pink velvety sheepskin body, long bright pink sheepskin hair, baby blue eyes and plum wool-felted heart-shaped feet. Bold, playful and full of heart.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
