MEASUREMENTS
Antique Oak Settle with a bespoke Sheepskin Cushion.
This early to mid 19th century oak settle is a wonderful example of traditional craftsmanship, full of character and warmth. Featuring a beautifully shaped three-arched fielded panel back, open arms and elegant Queen Anne legs, it has that reassuring presence only antique oak can offer.
Measuring 135cm wide, 102cm high and 55cm deep with a 42cm seat height, 50cm seat depth and 125cm seat width, it’s generously proportioned yet wonderfully versatile – equally at home in a welcoming hallway, breakfast room or country kitchen.
We asked our audience on social media to choose a shortlist of colours for this piece and the most votes went to Eggshell, Mushroom and Pumpkin Spice. I’ve included some illustrations in this listing for guidance to help you choose. If you would like to explore other options please get in touch.
The oak frame has developed a rich, mellow patina over the years, carefully preserved and full of honest age-related marks and surface wear. These gentle signs of history only enhance its charm. Structurally, it remains solid and reassuringly sturdy.
We propose making a sheepskin seat cushion to sit on top of the oak seat to add softness, comfort and a modern touch. The natural tones and textures of the wool will add warmth, movement and depth against the aged oak bench.
A ready-made, one-of-a-kind piece – available immediately and ready to transform a space.

As sheepskin is a natural product the wool on each of our sheepskin products is unique and can differ in texture and length. That’s why we specify that our measurements are approximate.
Please keep the dyed colours out of strong sunlight as it may bleach and dry out the skin. The natural colours of Ivory, Rare Breed and Chocolate will not be affected by strong sunlight.

Why Baa Stool?
In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form ‘Team Baa’ and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
