A one-off large cow-shaped pouffe, handmade from vanilla and caramel-toned rare breed sheepskin with caramel leather horns, a soft nose and wonderfully big ears.
The story
Meet the Chilly Cow.
This very special one-off pouffe was created to celebrate the opening of Tŷ’r Felin, the new Chilly Cow café at Loggerheads Country Park.
Chilly Cow is an award-winning ice cream producer based on Michelle’s pal Anna’s family farm in the foothills of the Clwydian Range. Their herd of beautiful Brown Swiss cows is instantly recognisable by its warm brown coats and charming fluffy ears. The cows’ naturally butterfat-rich milk also happens to make exceptionally creamy ice cream.
Inspired by the herd — and perhaps slightly influenced by our favourite salted caramel flavour — we selected a delicious mixture of vanilla and caramel-brown rare breed sheepskins to create this wonderfully characterful cow.
She has a luxuriously textured sheepskin coat, caramel leather horns and nose, and a pair of gloriously oversized ears. Handmade using traditional upholstery techniques, she is robust enough to use as a footstool or occasional seat, although she is certainly not a toy.
There is only one Large Chilly Cow Pouffe. Her natural sheepskin markings and handmade details make her completely unique, and once she leaves the workshop, we cannot make another exactly the same.

Good to know
This is a handmade, one-off piece made from natural rare breed sheepskin. The colours, markings, wool length and texture are entirely individual and cannot be repeated.
As with all natural sheepskin, gentle variations across the coat are part of its beauty rather than imperfections.
Styling notes
The Large Chilly Cow Pouffe is made to be noticed. Place her beside a sofa as a wonderfully characterful footstool, use her as an occasional seat, or simply allow her to become the star of the room.
Her warm vanilla and caramel tones work beautifully with natural wood, oatmeal upholstery, rustic interiors and relaxed neutral schemes. She would also bring warmth, texture and a generous helping of humour to a more contemporary room.

We source the highest quality grade sheepskin predominantly from flocks across the UK. Where we are unable to source a specific colour within the UK we import sheepskin from New Zealand. Sheep are not farmed for their skins and sheepskin is a by-product of the food industry.

Why Baa Stool?

In 2011 I left the corporate world, moved home to rural North Wales and retrained to be an upholsterer. Two years in, during a tea break from a particularly challenging chair, I was looking at the sheep in the fields surrounding my workshop and mused ‘they look like little footstools. Hmmmmmm…sheepskin covered footstools. Oh yes!’
I spent several months developing the idea and ensuring that every detail of the product is high quality. The frames and legs are made by skilled craftsmen. The sheepskin is always premium grade and predominantly from UK flocks. I source the best upholstery materials and we upholster each Baa Stool using a mix of modern and traditional methods. This is important because I want my customers to enjoy a product that is the very best it can possibly be.
Around this exciting product a group of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals gathered to form 'Team Baa' and a Great Little British Business was born.
I started selling Baa Stools at local artisan markets and county shows and they quickly developed a following. I noticed that the sheepskin cover upholstered on the footstools made people stop in their tracks, look closer…then, inevitably, smile. This quickly became the overall aim of every new design… to make people smile when they walk into a room.
